No purchase is necessary to enter any competition on this site. You can enter for free by post, with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry.
To enter for free, write on a postcard or plain sheet of paper: your full name, home address, email address, the name of the competition you're entering, and your answer to that competition's skill question.

One free entry per person, per competition, per postal envelope. Free entries must arrive before the competition closes and carry the same odds of winning as a paid ticket — they're allocated a ticket number from the same pool in the order they're received. Free postal entries must still answer the skill question correctly to qualify.
Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over. We won't use your postal entry for marketing — it's used only to process that entry, per our Privacy Policy.
