What we collect
When you enter a competition: your name, email address, and phone number. If you create an account, you can optionally add a postal address in your profile. If you win, we additionally collect the bank or PayPal details needed to pay your cash prize — collected directly from you at that point, never in advance, and used only to make that payment.
Why we collect it
To process your ticket purchase, verify eligibility, contact you if you win, pay your cash prize by bank transfer or PayPal, and email you your ticket numbers and competition updates. We also check the approximate location of every ticket purchase to block entries from outside the UK — this check isn't stored, only used at the moment of purchase. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Who we share it with
Stripe (ticket payment processing), Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional email delivery), and — for winners only, and only their payout details — our bank or PayPal, to send prize payments. Each only processes the data needed to perform their role, under their own data processing agreements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your data at any time, subject to what we're legally required to retain for tax and competition-integrity purposes. Contact legal@cashcomp.co.uk.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to process payments securely. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
Site analytics
We log an approximate location (city/country, derived from your IP address at the time — we don't store the IP address itself) for every visit, used only in aggregate for internal traffic monitoring. This isn't tied to your name, account, or any entry you make.
